What do your SEO efforts consist of? Writing a brilliantly wordedAre You Making These Corporate Video Mistakes blog just doesn’t cut it anymore. For effective corporate marketing, you have to go above and beyond. You must take your content and spread it throughout the web.

Corporate videos are an extremely important avenue to explore. People find them more engaging, and they automatically boost your rankings on Google. But you need to take great care that your corporate video is produced properly. Even the slightest mistake can overshoot your main goal and completely misdirect your target audience from the intended message.

If you are making the following corporate video mistakes, then you need to take action against them immediately.

1.     Boring Concepts, Not Creative

You can amass a huge budget for your corporate video but it will all be for naught if your script is boring and your concept is dull and/or overused. With corporate videos you have a chance to tell an engaging story – the story of who you are, what you do and how your business can help other people. If fact, this is the time when you need to work with your video production company to embrace a creative concept that will hook the audience, from the beginning of the video, till the very end.

2.     The People Talking Are Awkward or Uncomfortable

One of the biggest mistakes people make while shooting the corporate video is not preparing the subject. The subjects might be camera shy or they might get flustered easy. The Director needs to sit down with them and go through the entire process step by step. Rehearse multiple times if you have to, because if you don’t then the subject might come across as very awkward and uncomfortable. The audience will definitely find this very off putting.

3.     You’re Not Promoting Your Video and Distributing it All Over the Web

Your video won’t automatically start scoring numbers as soon as you post it on your site, and if you are hoping for that to happen then you need to rethink your whole marketing strategy. In order to generate interest for the video, you first need to bring a lot of attention towards it, and you can do that by promoting your video across all popular social media platforms. You have a better chance of people watching your video if it is made available all across the web.

4.     You’re Filming it Yourself and Not Using Professional Equipment

There is no rule that says that you can’t make the corporate video yourself. However, if you think that you can get away with using regular consumer equipment, then you seriously need to think again. Things like video and sound quality will directly affect your viewership because if people can’t see or hear the video properly, then there is no reason why they would want to stick around. If you have or plan to shoot the video yourself, you seriously need to consider renting professional video and sound recording equipment for the shoot, but an even better idea would be to hire a professional company like ours to do this job for you.
